Yesterday we went to Iron Hill Brewery for their Mug Club Membership Renewal Party. Mike is a Mug Club member. We picked up Mike's best friend Sonny and took him along to celebrate his birthday which was last Thursday. We were back in the area where they brew the beer, drinking some of their latest brews and talking to other Mug Club members. We then went out and got a table and ordered something to eat. I had one beer, a Pig Iron Porter, and then drank water for the rest of the night. I had the Chicken Teriyaki Salad which was delicious. Later in the evening my sister Barb and her "fiance" Gary stopped by to announce their engagement. So we toasted to Sonny's birthday and to Barb and Gary's engagement. A great night and so easy to stay on track.
Thanks to all of you who commented here or on Facebook. I appreciate your support and your enthusiasm!

I'm glad you were able to stay on track. I bet you are on a high to have lost 3 lbs. your first week. It's nice to see success when you make an effort. I, unfortunately, weighed in this morning and lost zero! Zippo! Nadda! I couldn't believe it. If I had fallen off the wagon or did something that I knew would hinder me, it would be easier to deal with, but I have no idea why I didn't lose. I guess I should be happy that I didn't gain, and that I have lost every week so far so there is bound to be a week where I plateau (hopefully this is the only one!). Anyway, I am going to incorporate more exercise this week. I usually walked the dogs "almost" every night (depending on the weather). I ordered 2 DVD's that are coming today. The one is Jillian Michaels (from biggest loser). Her cardio workout which got great reviews. Also the other trainer, Bob, he has a Yoga DVD that I'm getting as well. It's going to take some readjusting of my schedule/time, but I'm determined to do this too. I don't want another week of not losing something! I will try to stay positive (it just really sucks!) Keeping my head up...Candi
Hang in there. As a food addict, that is when you just want to say to hell with it all but you will lose. Maybe this week you will lose more than usual. Make sure that you are eating enough, it seems like a ridiculous thing to say but it is the truth.
